The GT-R system has been designed for the driver who demands exceptional performance on the street and on the track. It includes 4 or 6-piston monobloc calipers, two-piece floating brake rotors, a selection of friction materials and all the necessary hardware to insure seamless installation.
The GT-R calipers machined entirely from billet provide both the benefits and look of a racing brake system: more stiffness, lighter weight (GT-R calipers achieve a weight reduction up to 10 percent compared to casted versions) and more thermo-mechanical resistance, critical in high-performance applications. The two-piece floating rotors reduce unsprung weight and dissipate heat faster.
The nickel-plated finish provides additional treatment against corrosion and ensures a more attractive look. The pistons, complete with stainless steel inserts, provide an additional heat barrier virtually eliminating fade even during max-limit and on-track driving. In addition, the calipers provide less brake fluid absorption and a stiffer pedal feel delivering consistent clamping force suited for drivers wanting to make the most of every second.

The KW coilover suspensions for the 2013 Ford Focus ST enables the owner to lower their vehicle 25-40mm on the front axle and 20-35mm on the rear axle and retains enough travel to handle maximum load and dynamic loads during driving. Adjustable (and independent reacting) rebound and compression damping allows a truly individual performance driving setup for those technically demanding drivers. Compression dampening adjustment is conducted in the low-speed range, while the high-speed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been pre-se t by KW engineers. All KW coilovers come with a lifetime warranty and pass stringent German TÜV safety & quality testing standards.

Based on vehicle specifications, the rebound damping is adjusted by a spindle at the end of the piston rod. Mainly, the traction phase (rebound) controls car body vibrations and influences handling and comfort in the low-speed damping range. By using the traction phase adjustment, the vehicle can be fine tuned to the requirements of the driver. Moreover, driving behavior can be regulated from comfortably rolling to sporty and tense with improved road holding characteristics.
The compression phase adjustment is carried out at the lower end of the shock absorber via KW’s patented multi-purpose valve. The large number of pre-set parameters on this valve allow for a wide range of adjustment for individual use. The unique low-speed compression adjustment distinguishes this technology from any other. In this compression range, the driving behavior of the vehicle is drastically influenced. An increase of the damping power supports the vehicle already during compression and therefore avoids rolling and pitching. The directional stability is significantly improved.
